Another great night of worship! Our numbers were down, but that's okay. If you missed last night, you missed the first annual "FRITO FLICK," you can check it out on Bro. Gary's facebook page. We will be posting it on youtube and placing a link to it from the blog later this week. Not only was th FRITO FLICK awesome, but the message was challenging. Going steady with EDDY. We were challenged to read the BIble for at least 5 minutes the next five days and report on Sunday morning what God has shown us. We were challenged to Read the Bible Early, Daily, Diligently, and Yielding. God's Word rocks, and it is so valuable to each of us. We need to take every opportunity we have to dive into it so we may be refreshed. I hope everyone is having a great day! We will see you Saturday or Sunday(look below).

Another great night of worship at Liberty Baptist Church! Congrats Tyler, you are the Christmas Crossword Champion of the World! I was once again excited to see new faces visiting our youth group. I pray that each one of you study the passages of Scripture we used last night so you may be able to defend your faith and be a light for Jesus Christ this week. Don't forget next Wednesday we wil lbe having our Christmas party at the church during Saturate so DON'T MISS IT!

What a great night of Worship! I was glad to see 4 visitors at our service and I pray we can continue to see more come to Saturate! I pray each of you take to heart the challenge to fight off temptation through the power given to you by the Holy Spirit! Continue to remain faithful to the Lord and let each of us pray for our fellow students who are struggling with faithfullness and commitment to the Lord.

Saturday - Read Mark 12:28-31 - Jesus often replied to those questioning Him with words from the Scripture. What stands out to you about the two commandments He chose as His answer?

I just want to encourage each of you to remain faithful to your Savior Jesus Christ on daily basis. Continue to make Him number one priority in your life and you will see a life lived out for Him. Keep inviting your friends to hear the good news of the Gospel and let us join together in trying to build His kingdom through the Liberty Baptist Student Ministry.

Hey guys I thought we had an awesome time of worship last night! I just want to give you one last thought concerning the message then we will get on with what is going on this weekend. Paul challenged us to live through the power of Jesus Christ. I was personally challenged by this. I need to allow my temptations and sin to be overcome through God's power not my own. I know some of you are really struggling right now and I want this passage of Romans 7 to encourage you to live through HIS power not yours. I pray each of you have a great rest of the week and I can't wait to see you guys on Saturday or Sunday!

Read Romans chapters 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. While reading each chapter pick out the verses you would use to explain salvation through Jesus Christ to an nonbeliever. Don't cheat and use only the verse of the Romans Road. Use supporting verses as well. This will help you become more confident in sharing your faith.

Tuesday - Read Exodus 3:1-6. What's the strangest thing that has happened to you recently? Have you considered if God is trying to get your attention through this event? He was able to get Moses' attention through a fiery bush that was not being consumed

Wednesday - Read Exodus 3:7-10. Do you think God knows about your struggles? How does this passage give you hope? Try to imagine the emotions that Moses experienced during this moment.

Thursday - Read Exodus 3:11-12. What is God's response to Moses' question, "Who am I?" How do you think God would respond if you asked the same question? Often people feel unworthy or unprepared for major life opportunities.

Friday - Read Exodus 3:13-15. Why are names important? How did you get your name? Why do you think Moses wants to be able to give the Israelites a name for God?

Saturday - Read Exodus 3:1-15. Review the entire story. Can you relate to Moses' journey in any specific ways? What themes do you see in this story that are a part of your experience?

Sunday - Before Church - Read Hebrews 11:23-28. Why should Moses be included in the "Faith Hall of Fame"? How did the experience of the burning bush prepare Moses for the purpose God called him to?

What an awesome Mission Conference for Liberty Baptist Church! God led LBC not only to meet our goal of $50,000, but He was able to lead the people of LBC to commit to over $64,000 for missions. God is Awesome!

I want to thank all you teens who participated this past week, and I want you to know I am praying for each of you especially concerning God's will for each of your lives!

As we move into this next week each of you have an awesome opportunity to put missions into practice. Our OUTREACH SERVICE is this WEDNESDAY NIGHT and I want to see the youthroom packed out! Remember it is our responsibility to give the gospel to those around us and this is a perfect opportunity! I am praying for your courage and boldness to invite as many people as you can until you have at least one person coming for sure!

What a blessed night of Worship! Once again due to your faithfulness we had an attendance of 30 students! Keep up the faithful journey and invite a friend next week. Bro. Gary will be bringing the word and you know he always brings it from an unique angel!

We also had a guest accept Christ as his saviour. Aaron(hope I spelled it right) came to me after service and he prayed to get SAVED! AWESOME! WOO HOO! PRAISE GOD! We are praying for you Aaron in your new found relationship with Jesus Christ!

I know you guys have probably missed the music aspect of Wednesday Worship and I want you to know Bro. Gary and I are doing everything we can to get the technical issues situated and hopefully next week we will have the opportunity to worship through song! Also be in prayer for the band as they continue to practice and put together the worship set for our September 30 Outreach service night!

Awesome services last night! We had 30 students! Thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord at Liberty! I really pray that the message out of Romans 1:18-32 challenged your hearts. If any of you have questions concerning salvation please come talk to me or any of the youth leaders. Next week we will be studying Romans 2. I hope you have been giving thought to this weeks devotions because it will help set the foundation for our message next week!

Wednesday Worship
Well Wednesday was awesome! Mrs. Sarah and I are so thankful for your faithfulness to worship and to the activity. If you missed last night, we began a study in the book of Romans titled Encountering the Gospel! It is our prayer that you will continue to be faithful to Liberty Baptist Church and your youth group.

We are also excited about the enthusiasm shown during the Hot Dog and Sand Volleyball activity. If each of you will continue to be involved, invite your friends, and purpose to have a good time, God will bring each you closer to Him and to each other.

Welcome everyone to the Freak Show!

Yeah that's right the Freak Show...... its cliche but honestly a motto that would change lives in this culture. People these day are all followers, followers of something, whether it be a band or a person or a church or anything..... imagine if we truly were "Jesus Freaks". A freak by definition is some one who is abstractly different from the "normal". I want to be a "Freak for Christ" I want people to want to stare at me for no other reason as they cant help it. That's what our culture does when we see someone with a 2 foot multicolor Mohawk or a girl with skin tight clothes or a cute boy with a members only jacket with a haircut just like lead singer of your favourite band..... so why cant people stare at us cause we are handing out tracks or bibles or witnessing to a lost world?
These questions plague my every day life..... why do we want to be like them and not make them like us? Why do we as Christians want to follow the worlds freaks and not the Jesus Freaks?
Why can they invite us to events on Sundays and Wednesdays and we don't counter with an invite to church?
Why can they invite us to the party after the football game and we cringe with giving the answer of "I've got 5Th quarter" because we know there going to ask what that is and we have to say the dreaded words "a church thing"?
Why are they the ones pressuring us instead of us pressuring them??? I totally understand that its so easy to say and write out on some blog somewhere but its so hard to do in real life when Mr. Gorgeous or Ms. Hotty, that you have waited to talk to for a year finally notices you and invites you to go with her/him to the party...... i know cause i have been there and i failed miserably!!
I just want to put out real questions and get some real answers! i don't want the church answer
I don't want the well ill give him the fringe answer of why i don't come or get involved!
no i want the gut wrenching truthful answers!!

Guys and gals, i want to be able to look you in the face every time i see you and know that the fire in your eyes is burning for Christ and not from the anger you feel cause your being convicted by the holy spirit about your life choices!!! don't make the mistakes i did!

Be a Freak!!!!

As we heard in a breakout session @ camp.. our life is but a vapor in time..... think about it.... if you gave your life to Christ your going to spend eternity with him... don't you want to have something to talk about with him & not just that 1 time @ camp when you got saved?

Ever asked this question, "God what are you doing?"

God what are you doing? This is the question that came to my mind and heart last Friday when Pastor asked Mrs. Sarah and me to step back in the Youth. To be honest with you, I was shocked! As many of you know, God really began to work on my heart last year about this time concerning me and youth ministry. The decision was made to step away and follow God's leading into adult ministry. Mrs. Sarah and I have had an awesome ministry this year and have enjoyed growing our lives spiritually. Remember our question, "God what are doing?" I do not know what God is doing in my life and ministry right now, but I do know this - He wants Mrs. Sarah and I to pour our heart and life into each of you. We are willing to follow our God and our Pastor in this new unclear adventure and we are looking ahead with great excitement to minister to you, to love you, and to be here for you in whatever lies ahead! We are going to have a great year and I expect God to use each of us to win lost teenagers to Him by sharing His Gospel!

I want each of you to know I understand if you may be asking this same question. Please feel free to comment on what is going on in the youth, and feel free to ask any questions that might help us answer this question, "God what are you doing?"
